Craftsmanship

We believe in providing families with a range of options to honor their loved ones with dignity and respect. Here’s what you need to know about our caskets:

When it comes to selecting a casket, it’s important to understand that all caskets serve the same fundamental purpose: to provide a dignified vessel for your loved one during ceremonies and interment. However, the differences between caskets lie in the materials they are made from, as well as the type of finish, hardware (handles), and interiors they feature.

In the United States, most caskets available today are crafted from either steel or hardwood. Metal caskets are typically stamped from sheets of steel, with varying thicknesses known as gauges. The gauge of the steel determines its thickness, with higher gauges indicating thinner steel. For instance, a 20-gauge casket is thinner than an 18-gauge one. Metal caskets often come equipped with a rubber gasket and locking mechanism, commonly referred to as a “sealer.”

Wood caskets, on the other hand, can be crafted from a variety of soft and hard woods. The cost of a wood casket may vary depending on factors such as the type of wood used, the finishing techniques applied, and the intricacy of the interior design. Some wood caskets may be priced higher than metal ones, while others may be more affordable, depending on these factors.

It’s important to note that the materials used for hardware, such as handles, and the quality of the interior also contribute to the overall cost of each casket. We’re dedicated to providing you with transparent pricing and helping you find the perfect casket to honor your loved one’s memory.
